ECHA wants to improve its support for the substitution of hazardous chemicals and contribute to the improvement of methods and practices for the analysis of alternatives. To this end it has commissioned a study by American academics , which contains a series of recommendations , starting with increasing resources allocated to support substitution in ECHA and Member States , the establishment of a training network , and technical support to governments and industries. The study also suggests to support communication within the industry , and set public / private partnerships for research and demonstration of alternatives to hazardous chemicals.
